The Global Brain Health Survey – take part today

The Global Brain Health Survey is an anonymous online survey to learn about people’s views on the brain and brain health. Researchers hope that gathering the opinions and attitudes of people worldwide could help shape future policy recommendations to help everyone take care of their brain in a way that fits their daily life. The survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete, and anyone over the age of 18 can participate.

In 2 linked studies, researchers found that people who said they did puzzles regularly did better on tests of cognitive ability. However, the research does not definitely show that doing puzzles made brains “sharper”. Or that doing puzzles staves off dementia in later life. It could be that people who have better cognitive abilities are more likely to do number or word puzzles in the first place.
