To mark World Alzheimer’s Month, we’ve created a new animation to explain the Join Dementia Research service to the public and encourage even more people to sign up.

The 2-minute long video covers how to sign up, what happens after signing up, how the service works and the types of studies you can take part in.

It comes as we enter the final week of World Alzheimer’s Month, an annual campaign to raise awareness of dementia and support those affected by the condition.

Throughout the month, we have also been sharing videos of volunteers and staff speaking about what Join Dementia Research means to them.

Visit our X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook channels to watch these inspiring videos.

Imogen Shillito, Director of Public Engagement for the National Institute for Health and Care Research, said: “I want to say a massive thank you to the 80,000 people who’ve already helped us by signing up and taking part in studies.

“That could be as simple as a questionnaire to even taking part in a new treatment trial for medicines to help slow the course of dementia. This has made a real difference and we’re really grateful.

“We do need more people to get involved in dementia research. This new animation will help spread the word about Join Dementia Research and encourage more people to volunteer.”

Please consider registering your interest in vital dementia research via the Join Dementia Research website and telling your family, friends and colleagues about our service. You could make a huge difference for future generations.
