On Saturday 12th September members of Humber NHS Foundation Trust research team attended the Humber Bridge Memory Walk, as part of their ongoing efforts to promote Join Dementia Research. Organised by the Alzheimer’s Society, the event saw over 1,500 people brave the rain and don their walking boots to complete the 6km route across the bridge. The research team, accompanied by local Join Dementia Research champion, Warren Branton, were overwhelmed with interest in dementia research, signing up 55 new Join Dementia Research volunteers on the day, and handing out over a thousand leaflets and application forms!

A big thank you to everyone who took the time to speak to the  research team, and to all of the volunteers who helped make the day such a success, including Katie Gilgallon, Research Assistant at Humber NHS Foundation Trust, who was a volunteer Marshal at the event.
